The maps below show the location of the site (in red) on the edge of Wareham Forest with the proposed road (in brown) running through  Wareham Forest. We do not know the exact route through the forest but it will either follow the existing path/bridleway or run along side and cross them in order to get to the road running from Bere Regis to Wareham. At best it will be a major disturbance to walkers, riders and cyclist and at worse parts of the forest will no longer be usable to the public.

On the lower map notice how close the site is to the river Piddle. There is an high risk of contamination of the Piddle and the wildlife from the gravel extraction especially from the JCBs and lorries. Once the site is finished it may be used as a waste fill site with even more risk to the environment and more lorries through the forest.
